This article reports that Cyclades Corp. introduced the AlterPath OnBoard appliance this week. Daniel Dalarossa, CEO and co-founder of Cyclades, based in Fremont, California, said that with AlterPath OnBoard, Cyclades leverages the work of major server and chip makers that continue to improve on the Intelligent Platform Management Interface standard. Solution providers are saying the opportunity to sell out-of-band server management has moved from sprawling server farms to midsize shops running far fewer servers.
