The article reports that the convenience store retailers and petroleum marketers in the Gulf Coast region are getting back to business nearly two months after Hurricane Katrina. Several convenience-store chains operating in the coastal regions of Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama lost locations to Katrina, which left extensive flooding and widespread power outages in its wake. According to figures released by TDLinx, there are nearly 1,500 convenience stores in the regions most affected by Katrina.
