The Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), which is the only congressionally chartered veterans service organization dedicated solely to the benefit and representation of people with spinal-cord injury/disease, founded the Educational Scholarship Program in 1986 and since then has awarded $280,000. Some of the members of the PVA who are the recipients of this scholarship program are Cindy Ruby, Matthew Vinson, Michael Syndell, Shelly Roy, and others.
