Reports that the revival of a 1958 law banning women from working through the night is threatening to derail the boom in the Indian outsourcing market. Move by the labor department of the state of Haryana to remind call centers in Gurgaon that women employees are not allowed to work night shifts under the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishment Act of 1958; Percentage of the total call center workforce that is made up of women; Provisions of Section 30 of the act.
