ABSTRACT
This article describes the architectural design of several buildings and houses located in East MacArthur Park in Los Angeles, California. The Ponce de Leon Apartments is pure Beaux-Arts and exhibits an elaborate columned entrance that provides the appropriate formal entry. While the Bungalow Court is a miniaturized pylon gateway with relief sculpture establishing the Egyptian theme for this single-story, double-row bungalow court. Lastly, the Woodbury College is a monumental Streamline Moderne building with a grand entrance and a basic symmetrical façade.
