ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the role of parents in preventing their children from losing the tremendous passion and drive for learning new things. Research findings from the psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi revealed a direct link between the pursuit of a passion and personal happiness. He studied adult artists' determination to pursue their art, despite terribly difficult personal circumstances, and he found that each one experienced a total absorption in the activity of making art. Csikszentmihalyi concluded that, at any age, the most dedicated people in any field or endeavor are drawn to the activity for its own sake.
