A study conducted by Ibbotson Associates in Chicago, Illinois revealed the need for 10 mutual funds to implement an asset allocation strategy. Investors with $100,000 to invest and who have interest in major asset categories were considered in the study. A study has been conducted by Stephen Cecchetti, an economics professor at Ohio State University, which showed the failure of common inflation indicators to provide a good economic prediction.
