ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the Chef's Entree program developed by Bashas' in September 2005. It is also no secret among executives in the supermarket and food service sectors that chandler executive Jay Volk's uncomplicated approach belies the extraordinary commitment and significant resources required to succeed in a segment that has evolved dramatically over the past few years. Volk and Bashas' also had help in the program's seminal stages from Alto-Shaam, in the form of the vendor's Culinary Training Center.
