This article reports on the selection of Rebecca Pritchard, a research officer in the Management Support Services Unit of South Yorkshire Police in England, as the top student in 2005. She received her award from Dennis Whitmore, an Institute of Management Services (IMS) Council member. Pritchard achieved the highest marks in the written examinations. The unit employs six research officers, all of whom are IMS members. Janine Stockdale, also of the South Yorkshire Police Unit, is in second place.
