The article reports that the convenience stores chain Spectrum Stores Inc. has set up its wide-area network. Currently, Spectrum's digital video, credit card processing, ATM, voice-over IP, voicemail, back office computers and tank monitors connect to the network, and in the future, the company plans to add check cashing and prepaid cards as well. The company is saving money with voice-over IP, and since switching to a high speed connection, they received a reduced rate from the ATM and credit card processing companies.
