Because he left a successful career in education to take advantage of an opportunity in his community and was willing to invest his time and savings to take advantage of it. With the support of his wife Carol, a nurse at Fort Alexander Health Centre, he approached the band for legal permission to establish a coin laundry and coffee shop. The official opening of Bubbles, which also has a coffee shop, occurred in April 2004.
