ABSTRACT
The article reports that the company Linklaters is overhauling its projects practice and retiring its senior statesmen as the finance department is under increasing pressure to improve its fees. The review follows reports that the finance group, which incorporates projects and capital markets, was the least profitable of its three core groups, during 2004-05. The review is also examining whether the group should reorganize its client base, expertise and offices, including a possible Middle East launch. A spokesman for Linklaters confirmed the review was underway, but debated whether the exits were managed.
