ABSTRACT
The entry presents information on the Kapingamarangi Village in Pohnpei Island, Micronesia. This road adjoins Pohn-Rakied and leads into the heart of the Porakiet Village, which is where the Kapingamarangi people live and have wood-carving shops. The Kapingamarangis moved to this area during the Japanese period after a severe drought between 1916 and 1918 on their home atoll of Kapingamarangi.
