ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a marketing effort by Procter & Gamble Co. to promote its Oil of Olay Color Collection. The advertising campaign launched on April 11, 1999 is estimated at $70 million and also includes print advertisements in magazines and 40 million samples. Procter & Gamble plans to extend its Oil of Olay skincare franchise with the launch of Daily Renewal Body Wash and Complete UV Protectant. The Color Collection campaign, from Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, carries the tagline, "Lasting color that cares."
