Value Perceived Is Value Achieved

This article comments on the pricing policies of the U.S. information industry. When you attach a price tag to an online product, the size of the value added had better dwarf the size of the tag. These days, that does not mean being better than your competitor and it does not mean being better than you used to be. It means being better than the stuff people can get for free. Traditional services might strive for a motion in their advances. Of course, frenzied activity will remain the order of the day. Infrastructure improvements still demand significant work and reworking. Giving people an unwarranted and high-priced sense of security is a way to ruin a business and even draw attention of litigators.
