ABSTRACT
This article reports on a meeting of the East Midlands region of the Institute of Management Services at the Large Conference Facility of D10, The Boots Co., Beeston in Nottingham, England on March 12, 2005. Members discussed the minutes of the last meeting, followed by treasurer and Council Delegate's reports. The committee then discussed the region's events programme for the year. A visit to Chatsworth House was made on June 4, 2005 and included a meal at The Wheatsheaf, Baslow. A visit will be arranged to view the progress of Boots lean manufacturing systems on 22 September 2005. Officers were elected for the next 12 months. Malcolm Towle is chairman, John Davies is secretary, John Else is treasurer and Les Ros is PR Officer.
