ABSTRACT
The article informs that World Airways Inc. has registered double-digit operating revenue gains in second quarter, paced by growing military earnings. The carrier's operating revenue was up almost 22 percent over the same period last year to $140,9 million. Military revenues accounted for $104.3 million, an 18.7 percent increase. The carrier also upped its earnings from its wet lease operations inking an expanded agreement with Air Canada. For the quarter, World Airways generated operating income of $11.5 million, 62 percent better last year.
