ABSTRACT
The article reports on the launching of the first local brand called Persona developed by the U.S.-based direct marketer Amway Corp. in Bombay, India. The company's executives said that the local brand product refers to a low price toothbrush with male grooming lines in which family soaps will follow. The company which acquired William Pinckney as its new chief executive officer is determined to develop more local products and take on distribution of other products through joint ventures.
