ABSTRACT
Reports that a U.S. research team has built a robotic arm to help stroke survivors regain basic functions such as reaching, grasping and feeding themselves. Research led by a team from Arizona State University and biotechnology start-up Kinetic Muscles; Ability of Robotic Upper Extremity Repetitive Therapy (Rupert) to assess the effectiveness of treatment; Rupert's use of four pneumatic muscles.
