ABSTRACT
Pneumatic drying involving simultaneous conveying with heat and mass transfer between the particles to be dried and the gaseous drying media, is a cost and thermally efficient alternative for the drying of pigments. The objective of this article is to propose the efficiency of pneumatic drying in pigment drying process .A case study of the pneumatic drying model on ultramarine pigments is thereby cited. Pigments in the form of slurry or suspension are dried into a powder form in a multistage dryer where the first stage of the drying process is generally carried in a pneumatic dryer.
