ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the appointment of some of the executives in the U.S. investment fund industry. As part of its ongoing turnaround effort, General Motors has hired Stephen Girsky, a veteran auto industry analyst at Morgan Stanley, as a special adviser to its Chief Executive Officer, Rick Wagoner, and its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), John Devine. Janus Capital Group appointed Executive Vice President David Martin to the additional post of CFO, succeeding Loren Starr, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
