ABSTRACT
This article reports that the two key advertising accounts of Miller Brewing Co. will not be put into review, according to company president John Bowlin. Fallon McElligott and Wieden & Kennedy had created campaigns that were criticized by distributors for Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft beers. Although Fallon's "Dick" campaign had a role in the ouster of three top executives, Miller's woes went much deeper. Industry executives said that under former chairman/CEO John MacDonough, Miller lost strategic focus and alienated distributors in contractual matters.
