ABSTRACT
This study deals with Ibn Hazm's opinions on love. Ibn Hazm is an Andalusian scientist and is known to be very productive in various fields. Ibn Hazm tells about the concept of love, based on his personal experiences and on those of his contemporaries. He clearly explains the following: The content of love, its symptoms, the factors leading to love, the changes caused in the character of a person by love and barriers preventing love. He also sheds light on the social life of his time, by means of his handling and processing the topic.
