It is well known that the tekke and zaviyes had a great role in the invasion of the Turks into Anatolia and in the conquest policies applied towards Byzantium. There is no sufficient information on tekkes and zaviyes after the XIVth and XVth centuries, except in certain central provinces, such as Istanbul, Bursa, Edirne, and Konya. The aim of this study is to examine the tekke and zaviyes -which are known from the XIVth century onwards in the region of MenteÅŸe- of the XVIth century with the help of available documents, without giving any reference to the sects.
