ABSTRACT
In recent times, the concepts of .the rule of law. and .supremacy of law. which set criterion for law in order both to obstruct legal prejudices and to provide privilege-sharing as well as to set prerequisities to be followed before and during laying down laws. With respect to their cognitive dimension, these concepts just conceptualized can be traced back to ancient eras. These subjects in Islamic jurisprudence, which provide salient contributions to the science of law, have been covertly evaluated. Islamic jurisprudence's argumantative subject matters, which approve of the justification of legal doctrines, reveal that Islamic jurisprudence aims at the rule of law based on supremacy of law. In this article, both the scope, features, and developmental process of concepts of the rule of law and supremacy of law, and the regressive projection of these principles in Islamic jurisprudence will be evaluated.
