The article focuses on major upset in merger and acquisition in health care. With healthcare merger and acquisition volume booming, a big bet on the sector by Deutsche Bank AG seems to have paid off in spades. After a hiring spree that pulled in a former bulge-bracket industry head as vice chairman and reunited a healthcare banking team from Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank has landed at the top of the U.S. healthcare merger and acquisition league tables for this year's first half on six deals valued at $8.7 billion. Deutsche also attributes its ability to grab market share to the range of financing services it offers as a universal bank as well as to its strong European presence.
