ABSTRACT
The article explains that almost half the consumers in a recent survey were interested or extremely interested in phones that combine Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. That's the report from In-Stat market researchers, who found that almost 85 percent of respondents were at least somewhat interested in using a dualmode wireless phone. Other findings were: Respondents were most interested in dualmode's prospects for better in-building coverage and for unlimited calling at home. High-end features and the ability to use just one phone for all purposes were viewed favorably, but less so than the previous points.
