Wedding bells for CableMatrix and Xinnia

The article reports on the acquisition of Xinnia Technology by CableMatrix Technologies Inc. The deal will give CableMatrix two primary elements of the PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) architecture, that is, the policy server and the application manager. PCMM is designed to inject quality of service (QoS) into a range of Internet protocol based applications and can be used to support broadband network security services. On the personnel front, Xinnia CEO Jay Malin will become vice president of business development at CableMatrix, and Xinnia Chief Technical Officer Matt Tooley will join CableMatrix as its vice president of technology.
