ABSTRACT
This section presents statistical data related to financial planning in the U.S. as of July 2005. 2 was the number of days out of each work week wasted on pointless meetings, bad communication and unclear objectives. Meanwhile, 67 percent of teenagers claim they influence buying decisions in their households. Moreover, 94027 was the zip code with the highest median sales price for homes in the nation, $2,496,553 in Atherton, California, while 4 is the number of the top five most expensive real estate zip codes in the country located in California. Furthermore, $131,471 was the hypothetical wages earned by stay-at-home mothers working 100 hours a week with two children, if they did the same duties outside the home. 17 is the average number of investment options in company retirement plans offered in 2003, versus 10 in 1998. 64 percent of people work for small employers are satisfied with their jobs, versus 54 percent in large companies. 66 percent workers believe they will reach their savings goals by the time they retire. Finally, 42 percent of workers have actually tried to calculate how much money they will need for retirement.
