ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the reasons on why investors fail to perceive risk competently. The author stresses that people tend to see hazards where they do not exist or overlook those that do and to base their forecasts on events that are most available to their memory. Professor Paul Andreassen asserts that even professional financial managers can be made into believing that a trend will go on forever. It is observed that in the stock market, they summarize the past in terms of prevailing prices.
