ABSTRACT
The article presents news related to point-of-sale (POS) systems in convenient stores in the United States. PaySpot Inc. has partnered with CJK Inc. to sell electronic prepaid services through POS terminals in more than 11,000 convenience stores. CJK's c-store clients can now use PaySpot's services including prepaid wireless, long-distance plans, gift cards and debit cards. Alliance Data Systems Corp. added the Verifone Omni 3750 POS terminal to its offering of payment services and capabilities, and has developed a full suite of applications for the Omni including acceptance of all major card types, check processing, gift cards, fleet and electronic bill transfer.
