The article discusses why retailers and suppliers continue to enjoy the growth of smokeless tobacco and cigars. Manufacturers of smokeless tobacco and cigars continue to introduce new flavors, adding excitement to the category, and retailers are seeing significant growth in sales. The growth of the category within the convenience channel can be traced to the increased focus that the moist smokeless tobacco are receiving from many retailers, as more adults are switching from cigarette smoking to moist smokeless tobacco due to the increasing number of smoking restrictions.
