ABSTRACT
The article focuses on visits of an editor from the periodical "Convenience Store News," to different convenience stores. The editor opened the doors to an Express Lane Convenience Store in Panama City Beach, Florida, and was greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread from the on-site Subway sandwich shop. In the sports beverages section, the coolers were lined with shelf racks that hung the drinks from the top, which made for easy removal of a 24-ounce Cascade Crash Gatorade. Having lost her way around Indianapolis in Indiana, the editor stopped in a Circle K for directions and a Diet Coke. She went to a clerk and asked for directions to Route 70.
