TNT Rescue Systems Inc. has designed a forcible-entry tool, which reduces the number of pinch points and allows for quick operation with the included hand pump. Further, the fire equipments maker Amkus Rescue Systems has designed a new rope-rescue system that allows deployment in under two minutes, eliminating pulley systems and load-releasing hitches while reducing the number of rescuers needed to just two. The system is designed to improve the safety of both rescuer and victim in high-angle rescue operations.
