ABSTRACT
The article presents a statistics of information on investment banking. Canada's First Calgary Petroleum's has taken itself off the auction block. The company, which put itself up for sale last October announced it had ended its joint-venture talks with Spain's Repsol and is no longer looking to sell its prized natural gas assets in the Algerian desert. The company instead plans to spend the next 18 months drilling in Algeria to firm up its reserve estimates. List of new issue bookrunners in the U.S. include name of companies like Citigroup, Lehman Brothers, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Goldman Sachs & Co., Deutsche Bank AG. List of recent global equity deals as of June 2005 include companies like Inergy Holdings, Elia, AES Tiete, Granby Oil and Gas, Fort Chicago Energy Partners and many others.
