ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs related to personnel changes in British law firms. Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP has hired a private equity team from Perkins Coie LLP's defunct Hong Kong, China office. In another development, SJ Berwin & Co. has hired mediator Philip Howell-Richardson. He will join SJ Berwin as a consultant in August 2005 and will work with alternative dispute resolution team. Besides, Baker & McKenzie's former chair and current policy committee chair Christine Lagarde is leaving the firm to become the French Minister for Foreign Trade.
