ABSTRACT
The article reports on the manifestos of the two contenders for the position of global corporate head at Clifford Chance LLP. London office head Peter Charlton and Italy office head Nick Wrigley are standing for the post. Both partners have focused on cross selling and integrating the various corporate practices from different jurisdictions. Charlton has underlined the corporate group's target of increasing revenues by 10 per cent every year and has focused on building synergies between Asia and the rest of the network, with a particular emphasis on China, plus a push for growth in the Middle East. Wrigley has called for a programme of cross selling within Europe and an aggressive rebuilding of the equity capital markets practice.
