The article reports that LaBarge Pipe & Steel Co. has formed a joint venture with Canadoil Group, effectively positioning LaBarge as the only major distributor of steel line pipe to also offer a full inventory of high-yield fittings and fusion bond epoxy (FBE) coating from one source. Through this joint venture, LaBarge will improve the distribution system for supplying X-Grade line pipe and high-yield fittings to customers in the oil and gas industry. The company will also be able to coat the fittings at the industrial coating plant using its new FBE coating line opened in April 2005.
