The article reports on For-side.com's 179.6 million pounds bid for iTouch PLC, the largest-ever public takeover bid by a Japanese corporate in Great Britain. Simmons & Simmons will hope to gain For-side's corporate work in Great Britain now that it has a major presence here. It is the mobile content provider's third European acquisition that Simmons has worked on. This is the first public takeover in Great Britain by a Japanese corporate since 1995, when the firm advised Ricoh on its acquisition of Gestetner Holdings PLC.
