ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increasing farm land values in Florida. The value of agricultural land continued to increase in all areas of the state, buoyed by a population boom and strong non-agricultural demand for land. Although citrus groves did not increase in value as much as cropland and pasture, the value of orange groves in the south region increased by 10 percent and 12 percent in the central region. The value of grapefruit groves increased 34 percent in the south region and 15 percent in the central region. The value of land with 5- to 7-year old citrus plantings increased about 9 percent in the south and central regions.
