ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the making of homemade masks. Materials required for making masks include tempera paints, water, paintbrush, hole punch, safety scissors, glue, paper plates, yarn, markers and gutter. Parents should talk with the child about her favorite animals and explain that she can make an animal mask. A child can use a paper plate as the base, measure where the eyeholes will go, and cut out the holes for the child, making them large enough so that she can see safely. A child should be encouraged to paint, draw, and use a variety of materials to design her mask.
