ABSTRACT
The article reports that the digital age of design and construction, and its potential as facilitator for a paradigm shift in the way the building team functions, is on the radar screen of the American Institute of Architects. Technology is only a catalyst for a shift in designer and builder roles that will assume a broad sharing of knowledge and change workflow. That in turn will create an equality in terms of accountability, with risks and rewards shared equally by all the players on the building team.
