ABSTRACT
The article presents tables showing developments in investment banking in the energy and power sector. Yukos Oil Corp., once Russia's largest oil company, anticipates a 20% decline in production this year. CEO Steven Theede said the company cannot invest in new capacity because the government continues to tap most of its excess cash for payment of back taxes. Repsol SA, the Spanish oil-and-gas company, is reportedly planning to partner with other investors, including CVC Capital Partners Ltd., to bid for Royal Dutch/Shell's LPG distribution and marketing business.
