ABSTRACT
The article reports that Dale Pond, senior executive vice president of merchandising and marketing with Lowe's Cos. Inc. plans to retire on June 30, 2005. He will be replaced by Lowe's veteran Larry Stone, currently senior executive vice president of operations. Pond joined Lowe's in 1993, after serving in a number of senior management roles at other home improvement companies, retailers and an advertising agency. In his new role, Stone will be responsible for all aspects of Lowe's store environment.
