Offers a look at a test for the pregnancy disorder preeclampsia. Statement that preeclampsia is characterized by high blood pressure and protein in the urine, and can escalate to eclampsia and cause seizures, stroke or kidney failure in the mother; Report that Harvard and National Institutes of Health researchers have noticed a drop in the amount of placental growth factor in the urine of some pregnant women that often develop preeclampsia; Development of a urine-screening test.
