ABSTRACT
Examines the impact of fasting on interpersonal relations. Results of a study by researchers at Louisiana State University's Pennington Biomedical Research Center, in which participants alternated fasting with normal eating; Report that friends and relatives of subjects described them as irritable and unpleasant during fasting days; Impact of fasting on social relationships; Report that the subjects lost an average of five pounds in the three-week study.
