Comments on the need for virtual property within the massive multiplayer online role-playing games to be recognized and protected by the law. Existence of black market that allow real world trading of virtual assets through online auction sites; Preference of many games companies for the law not to recognize and protect virtual assets; Importance of exercising caution to ensure that premature regulation will not adversely affect the developing economies of virtual worlds and virtual people who live there.
