ABSTRACT
The article reports that the 28-year-old home accent and rug company Cresc Corp. recently became the parent company of Home Comfort. Cresc also spun off its Homefires area and accent rug brand into its second division, working alongside Home Comfort. This move is aimed at bringing the entire workforce of the two divisions into a cohesive team that will bandle all aspects of daily operations. Renee Ringstad, executive vice president of merchandising for Cresc is in charge of product development for both Homefires and Home Comfort, in addition to managing specialty accounts such as mail-order catalogs, Web sites and others.
