The i325 IS handset has off-network communications capabilities which allows users who are outside the coverage area to manually transfer to a two-way radio-to-radio communication mode with a range of up to six miles depending on specific conditions. The Thales 25 digital radio features a ruggedized metal housing, shadow channel operation and optional global positioning system tracking.
