Labour History Review (Maney Publishing);Apr2005, Vol. 70 Issue 1, p3
Academic Journal
The article presents views on the April 2005 issue of Labour History Review. With this edition we see the departure of two of the editorial team, Tony Adams and Peter Ackers. Adams has been the senior editor for the last two years and has steered the journal through some challenging debates and controversies with patience, hard work and good humour. Ackers, as book reviews editor, has maintained the journal's reputation for high quality reviews and has been instrumental in developing the series of public history review essays. The articles in this edition continue to reflect the diverse themes and approaches that constitute labour history today. The need for labour history to continue to develop across a broad front and also to reach beyond the academy is examined in Stephen Catterall's contribution to the public history series.
